Join the Emergency Room Teledental Pilot Program
CTeL, along with The Teledentists, is launching a pilot program to assess the burden of dental pain visits on emergency rooms.
We are currently seeking hospital participation in this pilot program to measure the financial impact of dental emergencies on ER resources and to test an alternative approach: a telemedicine-enabled dental kiosk.
By integrating this kiosk into your ER, patients can consult virtually with a dentist, potentially resolving dental cases more effectively and referring for ongoing care to the appropriate facilities when hands-on care is needed.
Our Goal: To partner with forward-thinking institutions to explore the cost-saving potential and improved patient care pathways that a teledental solution can provide.
Participation in the Program Includes:
-
Current Practice Insights and Analysis
A detailed analysis of your ER's current dental emergency costs, this is a great way to identify areas of financial and utilzation burdens.
-
Access to a teledental kiosk
This kiosk connects patients with a licensed dentist remotely, providing timely consultation and potentially alleviating pain and other dental concerns. Participation also includes a 6-month pilot with no licensing fee for software or Link. (QR code, Kiosk, link all ways to connect based on facility requirements).
-
Financial Insights
Insights into the long-term financial benefits of offering teledental services in an ER setting.
-
Training and Education
Training for your ER Team on effective use of the Dental Program
The amount of time, money, and resources emergency rooms are throwing away related to dental pain visits is inefficient, unsustainable, and frankly…just not helping. We CAN do better, for patients and our health systems.
